Daily Card Reading~ 10 of Pentacles

Today for the daily card reading I drew the 10 of Pentacles from the Mystic Faerie Tarot.  This reading has many sync moments for me...the 10 of Pentacles is about the height of abundance within the physical realm.  This card also correlates with a daily card pull that I received from Doreen Virtue's oracle card deck Magical Mermaids and Dolphins, from which I pulled the card 'waves of prosperity'. 

I recently launched 2 other blogs (this and a Poetry Blog ) in conjunction with my long running blog Nereids' Enchantments, all of these blogs started out of a passion for writing, and also the need to have something of my own, as I walked away from a career in teaching, and began to pursue building my own business.  Yet, as I blog during the past three years, mainly for personal enjoyment, I have began to question my current path.  For me, these cards served to reinforce that I need to continue to follow and pursue my vision and dream as I am about to see the physical manifestation of my work...

Daily Card Reading~ 6 of Pentacles (Rx)

A couple days ago I drew the 6 of Pentacles reversed, and have not posted a daily card reading since, because this card indicates a need to rest. So, I have been taking it easy, trying not to work on  much...actually this card spoke to me on many levels. I knew that it was an important reading when this card appeared!  In 78 Degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack refers to this card as a gateway...

After pulling this card I found this explanation of its reversal.  I thought this write-up was extremely insightful and profund, so I wanted to post it. Enjoy! And take time to reflect on why the 6 of Pentacles (Rx) has entered you life....

Daily Card Reading~ 6 of Swords

Today for the daily card reading I drew the 6 of Swords. This card was drawn with the intention of sharing it on my Tarot blog, yet it resonates for me on a personal level. This card is a definite allusion to a journey, with rough waters on the corner and calmer waters ahead. Water represents the unconscious; swords the suit of air and intellect.

To me this card has a stillness that resonates from it. As if the journey is an introspective one. Even though there are three figures shown, they all seem reclusive and reflective as they journey forward. I pulled this card as a piggyback to my personal reading for the day, which had a theme of underlying sadness. Yet, the calmer waters ahead make sense (for me), because I am getting to a point where I am at peace with the things in my life that make me sad. I am in the process of releasing, knowing that I am on my path, with the lows as part of the journey. Life is about taking the lessons with you while moving forward.

In 78 Degrees of Wisdom, Rachel Pollak links this card to the journey down the river Styx, heading into the underworld. On the wheel of the year, the underworld is represented through the season of winter, a time for rest and hibernation, which gets back to the sense of stillness I feel when reflecting on the 6 of Swords...
